It has been suggested by a number of people (my son; the owner of the boatyard where I store my 1988 CS 30; several boating friends too) that I may wanna think about replacing the engine of my boat ... that she's operating "on borrowed time." The engine has never failed me. I don't know how many hours she has on her. I never did the conversion to fresh water cooled. She's been in a salt water environment (coast of Maine) since being launched in 1992.
My question ... If I decide to repower my boat what can I expect in the way of costs ?? Should I stay with a Volvo-Penta or perhaps, go to something different ??
